While Meryl Streep hasn't returned to Broadway, she has indeed returned to the stage. I've seen her twice in Central Park at the Delacorte...as Arkadina in The SEAGULL and in the title role of MOTHER COURAGE.
She seems to always have a busy film (and lately television) career and probably doesn't have the time to commit to an extended run on Broadway, even if she was interested in doing so. |
