You're 100% right. My bad. My apologies to Geld and Udell for my mental blunder. I also really enjoy their Tony-nominated score to ''Shenandoah,'' and my favorites include ''Why Am I Me?,'' ''Next to Lovin,'' ''The Pickers Are Coming'' and ''We Make a Beautiful Pair.'' ''Shenandoah'' was their biggest hit, running 1,050 performances (1974-77). Conversely, could anyone here have seen their ''Angel'' (1978), based on ''Look Homeward, Angel''? It ran only 6 previews and 5 performances, but still earned Frances Sternhagen a Tony nomination for Best Actress in a Musical. Are there any recordings of its songs?

Geld and Udell also wrote the pop hits ''Sealed With a Kiss'' (Brian Hyland) and ''Hurting Each Other'' (The Carpenters).

I Googled and discovered that Geld, 88, and Udell, 95, are still around, so I'm hope they're happy to know fans are fond of their terrific tunes.
