I remember giving my mother "Murdereess Ink" for Christmas one year--she was an inveterate mystery reader, with a special fondness for Dorothy Gilman's Mrs. Pollifax series. After she died, I retrieved the copy of Murdereess Ink and it is in a box in my basement somewhere.

The film of the first (and best) Mrs. Pollifax book was somewhat disappointing--though I love Ruosalind Russell, she was not sufficiently "demure" nd "unprepossessing." I wonder if anyone ever considered musicalizing them?
