Too bad Ruthie Ann Miles, who was a critics’ darling and a star-is-born press story, couldn’t open it on Broadway. The show was ill-fated, it seemed. The problems with the pre-recordings, the enormous undertaking with the theatre design…with so many challenges it was too bad the story of Ruthie Ann Miles couldn’t have travelled to the show’s opening. By the way, was that a good career move for her? Seemed like a come-down.
