Hmmm ... laid-back or low-energy? I wonder when's the last time a Tony nominee for Best PLAY performed a song on late-night TV.
I really enjoyed ''Stereophonic'' as an exploration of the artistic process and its stellar ensemble, even though it could've been shorter.
And I couldn't agree more with Sara Holdren and Jackson McHenry's pick for ''Most Overnominated'' in New York magazine: ''Hell's Kitchen'':
''There is no way that the very run-of-the-mill Alicia Keys musical 'Hell's Kitchen' should be nominated for as many Tonys as 'Stereophonic.' '' |
