I definitely understand what you mean. We have different perspectives. You actually work in theatre. I'm just someone who loves going to the theatre. In addition, your circle of theatre friends is totally unlike mine. I'm more matter-of-fact than you are. Also, my posts on message boards are much more succinct.

Most importantly, our life experiences (I'm sure) have been quite different. After college, I was a high school teacher for 3 years. I had to serve in the U.S. army for a little over 10 years. I coached various baseball teams for 25 years. I worked as a production manager in a factory until spring of 1987. From the fall of '87 through 2018 I worked in sales for a paper company. I've been a theatre enthusiast since the early 50's.

I would imagine that I've also been around the block several more times than you have.
