Every respected and legitimate authority from historians, theatre journalists, Richard Rodgers and Oscar Hammerstein, the New York Times, etc. consider Yul Brynner to be Eurasian. Technically he should not be considered Asian-American because he gave up his American citizenship for tax purposes.

Just because a few anonymous posters on a message board have decided to re-define what it means to be Asian, that doesn't make it so. BTW, believe it or not, I have discussed this issue with staff members of the U.S. Congress. They were actually aware of this absurd belief that has been alleged on various social media.

Full disclosure: I am white, but my family is about 40% Asian-American.
