What isn't mentioned at all is another career high that turned into a low: Young Little Edie in Act 1 of "Grey Gardens". Sara Gettelfinger was the original Young Little Edie in "Grey Gardens" off-Broadway. She delivered a strong performance - maybe a little too strong.

When the show transferred to Broadway, Gettelfinger was replaced by Erin Davie. I think the feeling was that Gettelfinger came off too strong and too different a type - physically and personality-wise - to turn into Christine Ebersole in Act 2. So she lost that Broadway gig. Very sad.
Also - wasn't Rachel York the Morticia in the national tour of "The Addams Family" or am I hallucinating that? Love Rachel York. They are a similar type.
