Ask Anya, who paid almost $500 to see “The Wiz” and she and her kids couldn’t understand any of the lyrics for the muddy sound. She said she was “livid” at the end.
A big rip-off of $500–or the perception of it—seems like harm to me, in a sense, sure.
Yes, it’d be great to have all the theatres full and lots of actors working. But in quality shows. Not just anything. Closing a bad show is probably healthier for Broadway than this idea of “but people will be out of work, so every show should run.” |
