| The auditorium of the Palace is a landmarked interior. I assume (but don't know for a fact) that would include the seating arrangement, warts and all. Assuming further (on a bit firmer ground) that this is at least a litigable issue, I suspect the architects and their client decided to take the course of least resistance since the fundamental proposal was, to say the least, a big ask. |
