| Thanks :). I wasn't familiar with the OP or the platform. The scabrous review wouldn't stop me from seeing it, although I empathise with the growing weariness with the van Hove M.O.. As I get older the modest charms of something like DEAR OCTOPUS are outshining the bolder strokes of the Europhilic brigade. (As an aside, I caught the NT Live MOTIVE AND THE CUE the other night and thoroughly enjoyed it. I'm not going to claim it's a masterpiece, but to spend three hours in the hands of Gattis, Flynn, Thorne, Mendes and, best of all, Sir John was a balm.) |
