| If by "visual spectacle" you mean extensive, overwrought CG, then yes, I agree. I must be in the minority, though, but I am tired of all this bloated CG excess. Just because you can doesn't mean you have to. I don't need to have every single thing on the screen be the BIGGEST, TALLEST, FASTEST, BRIGHTEST, etc. Modest, and real can also be effective, particularly when you are dealing with material that is so much larger-than-life, and dare I say, theatrical already. |
