Where does THE ROCKY HORROR SHOW fit into this metric? The original production ran 45 performances. The 2000 revival ran 437 performances. (Both as per IBDB.) But my understanding was that the 2000 revival wasn't really a hit and it lost a lot of money, if not its entire investment. I believe it closed in the aftermath of 9/11 when tourism in NYC dried up.

In any case, the 2000 revival was a terrific production that made me re-evaluate the piece itself. It also fielded a lot of interesting replacement cast members and yielded a cast album that I still listen to and is my first choice when I listen to this material.
