East West Players to stage PACIFIC OVERTURES Nov-Dec

I saw the national tour (nearly the whole OBC) of PACIFIC OVERTURES in 1976.

Then I saw the East West Players’ production in the spring of 1979, directed by Mako and starring him and maybe six of the OBC.

They brought the production back in the fall, and I went again, even though I was a college student without much money.

Then EWP made PACIFIC OVERTURES their inaugural show in their new David Henry Hwang Theatre in 1998, and I was there, with my three daughters.

EWP will stage it again,,this November. I’ve recently gotten some very good news indeed from my oncologist, so unless there’s some major disaster, you can bet I’ll be there for that one, too,

Laura in LA, very happy about this
