Evening Primrose was released on DVD in 2010. I have it and watch it on occasion. I would imagine many libraries carry it also. The complete soundtrack recording was released on the Kritzerland label CD in 2008 and is still available.

I agree that it's a notable work. It would be nice if there were a licensed stage version that could be done. I think it would pair nicely with Bernstein's Trouble in Tahiti, which (when it was staged in the Chicago area some years ago) was paired with a short concert of Bernstein songs.

I admire your passion for Evening Primrose. I assume you met Stephen Sondheim at some point. Did you ever bring up the subject of a stage version to him? Just asking, no offense or criticism intended.
