Art is propaganda. Or something. SPAIN drags along, largely incoherently, only to pose this dull question: has the Internet made art obsolete? Or, again, something. On its surface, and at first, the play seems ambitious, but as it (hardly) progresses it just seems half baked. Not even Marin Ireland and Andrew Burnap—two very fine actors—and some tricked out lighting can make it interesting. I wish there were something more positive—or just something more—to say here, but SPAIN is wholly a misfire.
