Being run by one group isn't ideal, but if its run well with a variety of programming it can work. Its the way they run it thats a concern.

This group doesn't book tours in a timely manner. If Toronto gets it, it's usually after it's toured the US (including nearby Buffalo) extensively. They recently announced "To Kill A Mockingbird" - remember that one? And because they booked it for such a short run and demand was high, they had to bring it back again 6 months later.
Someone is asleep at the wheel.
