I don't doubt that Sondheim was a great fan of Harnick's lyrics. Nor do I doubt Harnick's daughter saying it. I just hadn't heard Sondheim mention in any of the press I've read of his.

Also, what's the context? Did Sondheim consider Harnick his favorite living lyricist? Or his favorite lyricist of all time, topping even his mentor, Hammerstein, etc., etc.?
