I remember two things about seeing this on Broadway. 1) How magnetic I found Mandy. He is so parodied, spoofed, and called out for personal behavior, I think it's easy to forget just how powerful a performer he was/is. One of the greats in my book. 2) I was center orchestra and an elderly woman was seated about five seats from me. A large, broad-shouldered man sat in front of her completely obscuring her sight. I heard her ask an usher to be reseated but she wasn't accommodated. At the end of the show, after the curtain call, there was dead silence in the theater, as if people were waiting to be dismissed or trying to figure out what they thought. You could have heard a pin drop. Then the elderly lady, who had been leaning to the side to see piped up loud and clear, "I have a crick in my neck and I didn't like it."
