Considering how closely you follow the grosses, I’m surprised you’re mentioning so many failed shows.
He was brilliant at adapting an existing book. I didn’t see Scottsboro, but his other K&E Broadway shows - which does include NYNY - are unworkable (SP) and inept (NYNY, which you failed to count). But somehow he does everything Stro does, and most of them fail.
