| I agree with very word in your post. As a student of history and Slavic ethnicity, I found the story fascinating and very relevant to what is happening in America today. Our oligarchs are Tucker Carlson, Sean Hannity, Steve Bannon, Stephen Miller, and Peter Navarro, but instead of Putin we have a clown with a Hitler complex. If things go wrong in November, I shudder to think what will happen to our theatre industry. According to Ayman Mohyeldin last Sunday, outspoken Broadway people like Lin-Manuel and De Niro may have to leave the country (just like Kurt Weill and Lotte Lenya had to do in 1930's Germany). |
