I haven't heard this "Estrogen mafia" term before, but I'm still amazed when politicians or commentators on news shows (even on liberal-based networks) use the term "Kabuki theatre" to refer to stupid things going on in Congress, etc. I'm not Asian, but I can't imagine that doesn't feel like a microaggression. ("Kabuki" in this case standing in for "crazy" or "silly" or "kooky.") It seems wrong to me that while mention of "The China Virus" was rightfully considered a racist slur, somehow referring to the silliness of politics as "Kabuki theatre" is just fine and dandy?
