| We actually agree that Some Like It Hot was an artistic failure, we just disagree about why. It didn't work, not because of an attempt to reimagine the story from a modern perspective that acknowledges evolution in our understanding of the concepts in the story, but because the execution was poor. Down the street, in the same season, was &Juliet, which included and centered a non-binary character, exploring their inner journey and outer expression in a way that totally worked.
