It's not trolling. Read the NYT review of The Unsinkable Molly Brown Off Bway revival, late Feb. 2020 (the show was rewritten by a man and directed by a woman) and even the female reviewer said, "Where's the moral ambiguity?"
The female reviewer of The Great Gatsby has a NYT review titled "Splendid Visions Overshadow Moral Undertones." That is a suggestion that the show ignores the moral ambiguity of the novel's story.
Trolling doesn't equal caring about dramaturgy. Or, perhaps, caring about the end of dramaturgy. |
