Sorry to have taken several days to reply to you. Now perhaps you won't see this reply.

I'm surprised to read that you found that Richard Burton was supposed to play Georg. It seems to me that he would have been too old and wrong for the role in several ways. In addition, it was said at the time in the press (1967) that Dick Van Dyke was to star with Andrews. I find no mention of Lesley Ann Warren or of Gene Kelly. Were Kelly and Prince to co-direct? Warren would have been too you for Ilona as written in the show but the role could be a younger woman if just a line or two were dropped.

Van Dyke is mentioned in the article you link, but I think that article may be wrong because it's talking about the later announcements of a film version, the one that Blake Edwards was to direct. That was announced in 1969. It was first announced as an MGM production. A few months after it was announced, it was announced that more specifically that MGM's Say It With Music had been canceled and She Loves Me would replace it, with a starting date of filming in January or February 1970.

None of the many press reports I find mention Dick Van Dyke as starring with Andrews. No leading man is mentioned definitively, although in one Leonard Lyons column it was said that Edwards and Andrews wanted Jerry Orbach to star with Andrews.

After it was canceled, and Edwards and Andrews sued MGM, Prince again was supposed to direct a film version, although this time I think not for MGM. Perhaps as an independent production. This was in 1971-1972. In the press, Joan Hackett more than once said that Prince had asked her to star in it. In his memoirs, Prince mentions Hackett and also Orbach as the stars of that later version. Prince discussed this not in the chapter on She Loves Me, but in the chapter on They Might Be Giants. He said this film didn't happen because he could neither figure out how to start fresh nor could he remember enough of what had been done originally.
