Re: that revival of Long Day's Journey - if you're heading for London during the run, it's a must-see. NOT because of Mr. Cox, although he's giving a more-than-good-enough performance, but because Patricia Clarkson's Mary Tyrone is a performance for the ages. She is utterly mesmerising and absolutely heartbreaking, and several orders of magnitude better than anything in the production that surrounds her.

(The production, to be clear, is not bad at all. It's a good revival, but with one *really* great performance.)
