| I totally agree with Billhaven. To each their own, but Water for Elephants at least attempts originality in its approach. It is not a cynical money-grab (I'm looking at you Pretty Woman and the like) nor a lazy jukebox. Whether or not it works is subjective (as demonstrated by the all-over-the place reviews) but it at least aspires to something and therefore deserves a bit more respect than Reed gives it, even if he isn't a fan. |
