Around here, we tend to get flies in our mouths when someone labels a lifelong stage actor with multiple Tonys among other awards as the star of a third rate TV sitcom that ran for one season.
What, then, are we to make of a description of Bill Bradley as a Princeton basketball star. It's not untrue, of course; he had an astonishing career there. But when one's subsequent resumé includes being an Olympic gold medalist, a Rhodes Scholar, a New York Knick [for a decade, including two championships and a retired jersey afterwards], and a three term United States Senator, I felt those flies circling my mouth again.
