I know we're long past the golden era of movie musicals, but is there still much of singing voices being dubbed? Or has autotune made that obsolete?
One of the last times I've heard about dubbed singing voices in a Hollywood movie musical was ''Everybody Says I Love You'' (1996). Woody Allen wanted to feature ''realistic singing voices,'' not polished professionals. But Drew Barrymore said hers was so awful that she was dubbed by Olivia Hayman. |
