| Wondering if anyone remembers seeing this play (at the Promenade in 2002, L.A. before, and I'm not sure where else). I just watched the film version, and I really liked the story but wasn't crazy about how the film treated the story (and I know Horovitz directed). I have mixed feelings. | |

| Sensational performances from Jan Maxwell and her two co-stars in the Promenade production.... I wandered in off the street, clueless, and it turned out to be one of my favorite plays and three of my favorite actor performances I've seen in New York. That was the first time I'd seen Jan Maxwell (except at auditions when we were about 20 and of course I didn't have a clue who she was, anymore than anyone did.) | |

| I saw it at the Promenade, and I remember liking it very much. It was a three-character piece - Peter Friedman, Jan Maxwell, and Sian Philips, and all their performances were wonderful. I didn't know it had been made into a movie. | |

| That cast sounds great. The movie (I think it was released in the last year or so) features Maggie Smith, Kevin Kline, and Kristin Scott Thomas. I thought Kline was somewhat miscast, but mostly the film had a mixed tone that didn't work for me. | |
