I don't use Firefox. I use Chrome and Safari. There are no default settings in either of those Mac Browsers to change colors.

I am happy you can change your colors. But I can't. And I suspect many others can't.

But a true web developer will have several machines, Mac with different OS versions, Windows with different OS versions, as well as at least three different browsers installed. And of course there are all the various tablet iterations that need to be tested.

If this sounds like a like of equipment and testing, it is! That's one of the disadvantages of the web. Fonts, layouts, colors, spacing, frames, and links all vary.

You're making the common mistake that many visitors to web pages make. YOUR system works fine. But there are many, many other setups where it doesn't.

This is why most web developers put out a soft launch with a way for viewers to post bugs.

I haven't found the bug reporting link for ATC.

That's the real problem; not the choice of fonts and colors.

First of all, there have been many messages asking people to email feedback (e.g., bug reports) to webmaster@talkinbroadway.com. If you need a link, here: webmaster@talkinbroadway.com.

Secondly, I installed the Stylist extension for Chrome and used it to change the visited/not visited link colors for this site only (you can change it globally, but I only needed it for this site). It's not the most elegant tool, but it was pretty damn easy, with lots of detailed instructions available online. I recommend it.

Would you please point me to the post where the webmaster actually asked for bug reports.

I'm rather old and can't figure out how to find it. (You young people are much better at using the web than I am.)

And I hope that the bug reporting form includes OS, browsers, etc or all the complaining is for naught.

I suspect you'd get your questions answered if you actually emailed the webmaster.

As I said before, the info for the bug report email is missing. And any report without structure is meaningless.

One bit of feedback I sent was that not everyone has the ability to change their browser settings or add extensions if they're using a work machine that is governed by global settings. I suspect that is the case for a lot of people.

Bravo!!!

A true web developer does not rely on visitors having to add extensions to their defaults.
