I am not going to disagree with everything you say, but I would hardly call it a complete waste of a night.

I AM going to disagree with you about the orchestrations which I think are magnificent and remind me of the stuff that Bowie did with Brian Eno back in the day.

For me, Michael C Hall and Sophia Anne Caruso's performances are captivating.

I will agree the script and direction are pretty lacking.

When I was leaving the theatre the other day I overheard someone saying "it was trying to hard to be art" - which kind of made me laugh. It IS art. Now whether or not anyone is going to like this particular piece of art is another story.

Personally, I went with it.

Thinking more about the orchestrations, perhaps my real issue with with the sound design - I felt it stifled the band and created the same sort of "artificial speaking voice" effect that plagued the Workshop's earlier production of "The Events."
