| You can make those changes in your browser, if you want, or if we end up tweaking the font style/weight it might make a difference. The red-unread/blue-read colors we had before were actually the opposite of the norm (because in 1996, that's what they were). | |

| Some browsers let you adjust the colors. HOWEVER, some of those require an external extension (plug-in) to change the colors. A PITA. Other web sites have instructions that can override those colors. Face it. The colors, fonts, and font widths for the site have been set to ugly. | |

| First, in a text editor paste the code: A:visited { color: LightSalmon ! important } A:link { color: SteelBlue ! important } A:hover { color: black ! important } A:active { color: green ! important } (or whatever names you like, so long as they match the css list) and then save as some_name_you_choose.css Then, in Safari, go to Preferences > Advanced > Style Sheet and then Other and browse to your style sheet which you so lovingly crafted in advance. | |

For the CSS novice, type in (or paste) something like this, choosing colors you love: A:visited { color: LightSalmon ! important } A:link { color: SteelBlue ! important } A:hover { color: black ! important } A:active { color: green ! important } | |

| Where do you paste this stuff? I cannot figure this out in chrome at all. I looked up CSS, since you used the term, and the indication is that this involves HTML programming. If you have to learn to do programming to change the colors..... Truthfully, I probably spend too much time reading ATC. So I will stop visiting ATC if the blue/dark purple stays the same...and that may be a good thing. | |
