I have a silly discussion to begin here. I was just thinking how "royal" or other "top-tiered status" nicknames become associated with celebrities. Country music has a Queen and a First Lady, Pop had a King, etc. So who are these people on Broadway?
Who is the Queen of Broadway? Who is the King of Broadway? And, no, it's not Max Bialystock. I'm talking about people who have had a sustained career on Broadway (30 years +). Is Patti or Bernadette the Queen of Broadway? Where does Audra fit in? Is Angela the Grande Dame?
