The film is very much its own thing. But that wasn't my point. My point was that the first time "Married" was sung in German was in the film. Perhaps that was something that was deliberately borrowed for future stage productions as well as the film songs.
As different as the film is, at least it doesn't have any turtles (or Russian ballet conductors) on speed. I still don't get where the hell that came from. :-) |
