I also thought early-onset Alzheimer's!

I found myself doing a lot of math homework trying to grasp what year the "present" was and what years the flashbacks were. Never a good sign of clarity in a script.

Without wanting to hurt Ann's feelings since it seems she is a big Gregg Edelman fan, but I've always found him a little anemic, going right back to City of Angels. It's nothing but taste, of course, but I'd love to have seen John Cullum or the late John McMartin in the role. It's great that people are in such good shape into their 60's and 70's, but when you need a proper old man for emotional shorthand, who ya gonna call? Even Chip Zien in Harmony didn't seem terribly old. (Wasn't he meant to be around 90, as well?)
