The Metropolitan Opera has had several singers cancel or plead indisposition due to allegies - Clementine Margaine as Carmen and Jonathan Tetelman the lead tenor in "Madama Butterfly". Also sudden changes in the weather, as we have been experiencing can cause upper respiratory illness and lower the immune system. They might actually be sick.
